Senior Engineer (C&S)

• Manage small to medium-sized building, infrastructure, and structural component projects under the guidance of the General Manager and senior management.
• Engage in all project stages, from preliminary design, feasibility studies, and design briefs to construction completion.
• Prepare detailed sketch drawings for draftspersons to develop comprehensive tender and construction drawings.
• Perform detailed design work, prepare technical specifications, and develop bills of quantities and project schedules.
• Develop tender documents, including drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.
• Evaluate contractor submissions, including method statements, materials, equipment, inspection, and testing procedures.
• Prepare tender evaluation reports with recommendations for clients.
• Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, stakeholders, and authorities.
• Assist in preparing Expressions of Interest (EOI) and consultancy proposals.
• Prepare cost estimates and monitor project budgets.
• Attend meetings and coordinate with internal and external design team members to ensure smooth project execution.
• Liaise with local authorities for drawing approvals, permits, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct site supervision to ensure adherence to contract documentation, engineering standards, and safety practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with draftspersons, designers, and construction teams to ensure project quality and timelines.

• Degree or Master’s in Civil Engineering recognized by the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
• Registered with BEM as a Graduate Engineer.
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in a consultancy environment handling civil and structural projects, including buildings, infrastructure, and municipal works.
• Strong knowledge of civil and structural design principles, Malaysian codes, and engineering standards.
• Proficiency in engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, or equivalent.
• Experience in preparing feasibility studies, design briefs, tender documents, bills of quantities, and cost estimates.
• Proven ability to review and evaluate contractor submissions, method statements, and material specifications.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects while meeting deadlines and budget requirements.
• Familiarity with local regulatory requirements and experience liaising with authorities for approvals.
• Demonstrated experience in site supervision, quality control, and compliance with contract documentation.
• Excellent communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Commitment to safety standards, attention to detail, and high professional integrity.
• Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in Mandarin as an added advantage
