- Minimum SPM, STPM, Diploma or equivalent and above.
- At least 2-5 years of experience in a warehouse/storekeeping role, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing sector.
- Experience handling automotive components or assembly parts is an added advantage
- Knowledge of inventory control and warehouse operations.
- Ability to read and interpret delivery orders, material labels, materials requisition forms, stock records, invoice, packing list, consignment note and/or other logistics documents.
- Ability to operate forklift, reach truck & other materials handling equipment preferably with valid Forklift Driving License (Malaysian or recognized local certification).
- Computer literacy (e.g., Excel/Word, WMS system, barcode) is preferred.
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling tasks, as IT involves lifting, standing, and physical movement.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Able to work in a warehouse and production environment & may involve occasional travelling or relocating
- Receive, check, verify and record incoming raw materials, components, and parts, ensuring correct quantities and parts/types.
- Label, tag and store items systematically in assigned locations, following FIFO and 5S practices.
- Pick, prepare and issue materials and parts to production departments based on work orders, daily requisitions and/or production schedules.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of transactions/stock movements in Warehouse Management System (WMS) or manually in Excel (receipts, issues, returns, etc).
- Perform & conduct regular stock counts & cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors of low or excess inventory.
- Assist in preparing reports related to stock levels, discrepancies, and stock aging.
- Work with production, purchasing, and quality control teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Perform any other duties/tasks as and when assigned & required by management.
- Safely handle physical movement of materials using hand pallet jacks, trolleys, delivery rackings, forklift, reach truck and/or other material handling equipment (MHE).
- Safely operate a forklift or other MHEs to move, load, unload, stack, or rearrange materials and finished goods within the warehouse, staging area, and storage area.
- Perform daily checks on the forklift and other MHEs and report mechanical issues promptly.
- Ensure proper packaging and labelling of finished goods for shipment.
- Ensure safe handling of materials, especially fragile or bulky car seat components.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment, in compliance with 5S and safety standards.
- Follow all company procedures and policies, safety guidelines & policies (if any), including the use of PPE (if required), forklift/reach truck operation rules and safe handling procedures.
- Report unsafe practices, rejected, short-ship, short supply and/or damaged materials to supervisors immediately.
- Support periodic audits and warehouse inspections.
- Propose and carry out improvement initiatives and compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety standards.
