Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group's Professional Division is partnering with a leading financial institution that is making its mark in the wealth and investment realm. Our esteemed client is seeking an experienced professional to be their Manager, Corporate Communications & Media Relations.Position Objective
To manage corporate communications and media relations efforts that enhance the company's reputation, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and support brand top-of-mind and credibility growth under the Brand, Content and Communications function. The role is responsible for developing brand key messaging, editorial calendars, including internal and external communication materials. It also requires developing and managing a close relationships with the media. The role is also responsible to grow thought leadership content, contribute to brand campaigns and strategic communication initiatives while ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms.Responsibilities
1. Corporate Communications
  • Develop and execute corporate communication materials including press releases, corporate announcements, speeches, key messages, leadership profiles, and communication assets.
  • Ensure consistency of messaging across corporate, internal, and external communication channels.
  • Support communication planning for key corporate milestones, announcements, and business initiatives.
  • Develop communication narratives that strengthen corporate reputation and reinforce brand positioning.
2. Public & Media Relations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media, journalists, and relevant external stakeholders to strengthen earned media opportunities.
  • Coordinate media engagements, interviews, press briefings, and manage media inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance earned media visibility and strengthen corporate reputation through proactive media outreach.
  • Monitor media coverage, sentiment, and market narratives, with recommendations for response or amplification where relevant.
  • Manage reputational risk communication end-to-end, including issue assessment, escalation protocols, SPL development, key messaging frameworks, and stakeholder response coordination.
3. Content & Thought Leadership
  • Identify market trends and develop timely editiorial content to strengthen brand exposure, awareness, and positive brand advocacy.
  • Drive development of thought leadership content including articles, commentaries, opinion pieces, interviews, and leadership profiling.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholder to translate company developments, product offerings, market insights, and investment perspectives into clear and compelling naratives.
  • Contribute to editorial planning and content development across corporate, digital and leadership platforms.
4. Brand Campaigns & Strategic Initiatives
  • Support brand campaigns, strategic communication projects, and department-wide initiatives led by the Brand, Content and Communications team.
  • Contribute messaging and content development for campaigns, launches, events, and key corporate projects.
  • Ensure communication outputs are aligned with brand positioning, business priorities and regulatory expectations.
5. Stakeholder Management
  • Work closely with internal departments, senior management, and external partners to deliver communication objectives effectively.
  • Coordinate with agencies, media partners, and vendors to ensure quality execution and alignment of deliverables.
  • Provide strategic communication cousel to senior leadership on key business initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and reputational matters.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in corporate communications, media, journalism, public relations, or strategic communications, with proven experience managing media engagement, corporate messaging and reputational matters, preferably within financial services, asset management, or other regulated industries.
  • Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills with excellent command of English ยท Strong attention to detail with a creative and strategic mindset.
  • Proven experience managing media relationships and stakeholder engagement
  • Proven experience in developing high-quality marketing collateral, award submissions, communication materials, and integrated campaigns that support brand positioning and business objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills, with the ability to influence effectively across functions and levels of seniority.
  • Able to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced environment
