Job Category: FacilitiesDegree Level: OtherJob Description:The Technician 3, Facilities is responsible for performing advanced preventive and corrective maintenance for facility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and continuous operations. This role requires the ability to work independently, troubleshoot complex issues, support operational uptime, and contribute to continuous improvement within a mission-critical manufacturing environment.Responsibilities:Facilities Maintenance & Operations

Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and utility systems.
Troubleshoot and repair complex equipment issues with minimal supervision.
Conduct regular inspections of facilities systems and infrastructure to identify abnormalities or potential risks.
Respond promptly to facility emergencies to minimize operational disruption.
Support installation, modification, and upgrade of facility equipment and systems.

Safety, Compliance & Environmental

Comply with company safety procedures, work instructions, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Perform Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) for non-routine tasks when required.
Ensure activities align with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards.
Actively participate in safety discussions, emergency response, and training initiatives.

Documentation & Reporting

Accurately document maintenance activities in maintenance management systems, logbooks, and reports.
Communicate equipment status, handovers, and issues during shift pass-downs.
Provide technical feedback and recommendations for equipment reliability improvement.

Teamwork & Continuous Improvement

Collaborate effectively with internal teams, contractors, and service providers.
Share technical knowledge and best practices with junior technicians.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to reliability, efficiency, and cost optimization.

Qualifications:Education

Diploma or Technical Certification in Electrical, Mechanical, Facilities, or related discipline.

Experience

Minimum 3-5 years of relevant facilities maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

Technical Competencies

Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and utility systems.
Ability to read layouts, schematics, and technical drawings.
Familiarity with maintenance software and computerized maintenance systems (CMMS).
