- Lead, coach, and inspire a business development team to consistently achieve assigned sales targets, fostering a culture of ownership, performance, and continuous improvement.
- Execute business strategies to consistently deliver sales targets and portfolio expansion across key market segments.
- Cultivate high‑impact relationships with brokers and strategic distribution partners, focusing on productivity uplift and long‑term value creation.
- Design and lead sales campaigns and performance initiatives to improve intermediary engagement and accelerate new business growth.
- Collaborate closely with internal functions including Claims, Actuarial, Group Administration, and Operations to ensure aligned execution and superior customer outcomes.
- Maintain strong governance through proactive risk identification, regulatory compliance, and control enhancement, supporting sustainable growth.
- Monitor external market developments, risks, and emerging technologies to anticipate challenges and protect business interests.
- Support senior leadership through participation in strategic projects and enterprise initiatives, contributing beyond core role responsibilities.
- Minimum 8 years of sales and relationship management experience within the Financial Institution industry.
- Proven ability to build, manage, and deepen long-term client relationships, particularly within the mass market segment.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills to effectively understand client needs and provide tailored financial solutions.
- Highly self-motivated and able to manage the team and portfolio while consistently achieving revenue and service targets.
- Demonstrates adaptability and a willingness to learn new products, regulations, and market trends.
- Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English is an advantage for engaging a diverse client base.
- Upholds high integrity, accountability, and professionalism in all client interactions.
- Proactive in identifying opportunities for cross-selling, upselling, and process improvement.
