- Oversee daily accounting activities, including maintenance of the general ledger, bank reconciliations, and preparation of journal entries.
- Review all payment transactions to ensure accuracy, proper documentation, and compliance with the company’s SOP and Approval Matrix.
- Lead the Accounts Payable (AP) function by managing invoice processing, payment scheduling, vendor reconciliations, and maintaining vendor relationships.
- Supervise and guide one AP team member to ensure payables are processed accurately and within established timelines and company policies.
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure financial obligations are met on time while optimizing working capital.
- Prepare and review financial statements such as Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports, ensuring timely and accurate submission.
- Support the preparation of annual budgets and monitor actual performance against budget, identifying variances and providing relevant insights.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities during audits, tax submissions, and statutory reviews.
- Ensure all tax filings are completed accurately and submitted on time in compliance with financial and statutory regulations.
- Perform GST reviews and reconciliations, ensuring proper GST treatment of transactions and timely GST return submissions to IRAS in line with statutory deadlines.
- Review the Petty Cash Fund logbook, verify supporting documents, and oversee all petty cash transactions and reconciliations.
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with at least 3 years of relevant working experience.
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CA are an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore GST regulations and filing requirements, including experience submitting returns to IRAS.
- Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Globe 3, as well as Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
- Prior experience managing or supervising an Accounts Payable (AP) function.
- Good understanding of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and local statutory compliance requirements.
- Familiar with internal controls, payment approval procedures, and audit documentation practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with vendors, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
- Experience in budget preparation, cash flow monitoring, and variance analysis will be an added advantage.
