As our Senior Finance Analyst, you'll be instrumental in maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity and providing crucial support across our operations. You'll:
  • Lead Data Reconciliation & Integrity: Take full ownership of the accuracy and timely completion of all data reconciliation tasks for your portfolio, ensuring the bedrock of our financial reporting is solid.
  • Innovate & Optimize Processes: Proactively review and refine reconciliation models and processes, identifying and implementing improvements that enhance efficiency and drive operational excellence.
  • Provide Strategic Financial Support: Actively support the Credit Manager and senior management on all finance and commercial matters, contributing to key decisions with robust data and insights.
  • Conduct In-Depth Analysis: Manage and assist with the precise preparation of reconciliations, data matching, and detailed variance analysis of debtor accounts, ensuring tight control and clear understanding of financial movements.
  • Empower Leadership with Insights: Collaborate with senior management to prepare compelling presentations and comprehensive analyses of departmental financial data, translating complex information into actionable intelligence.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Actively contribute to Lean Projects across our Global Shared Services (GSS) team, participating in initiatives that streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Cultivate and maintain excellent relationships with key business stakeholders, demonstrating Toll's values and acting as a trusted financial partner.
What You'll Bring: Your Expertise & Analytical Edge
To succeed in this role, you'll be a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual with a proven track record in financial analysis and reconciliation. Specifically, you'll need:
  • Advanced Excel Proficiency with Macros: Exceptional skills in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formula creation, pivot tables, and macro development/troubleshooting, to manipulate and analyse large datasets effectively and automate processes.
  • Sharp Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: A strong ability to dissect complex financial challenges, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions.
  • Solid Accounting Principles: A foundational understanding of accounting principles to ensure accurate financial practices.
  • Reconciliation Expertise: Proven experience and deep understanding of reconciliation processes within a financial context.
  • Robust Finance System Skills: Proficiency with various finance systems, including the Microsoft Office Suite (especially high-level Excel), and experience with Unibis/Oracle is highly desirable.
  • Business Intelligence Acumen (Value-Add): Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools is a significant advantage, allowing you to create impactful dashboards and reports.
