- Lead the strategic planning and management of data center facilities to ensure resilient, secure, and scalable infrastructure aligned with evolving business and technology needs. Drive innovation by evaluating and implementing advanced data center technologies and sustainable practices.
- Oversee risk management, compliance, and capacity planning to maintain operational excellence. Champion cross-functional collaboration to integrate facilities management with broader IT and hybrid cloud strategies, while directing projects that modernize and optimize the data center environment."
- Lead proactive monitoring of power, HVAC, and environmental systems using DCIM tools, leveraging advanced analytics and automation to enable predictive maintenance and reduce downtime.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of data center equipment-including installation, cabling, upgrades, and decommissioning-ensuring compliance with evolving best practices and technology standards.
- Drive preventive maintenance programs and continuous process improvements to maximize infrastructure reliability, efficiency, and asset longevity.
- Take ownership of incident response, performing advanced troubleshooting, leading root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Manage accurate documentation of equipment, maintenance activities, and incidents; lead capacity planning efforts for power, cooling, and space to support scalable growth.
- Enforce robust security and access control protocols; collaborate with security teams to safeguard the facility and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Champion health and safety initiatives, lead training sessions and emergency drills, and foster a culture of safety awareness across the facility.
- Lead coordination with vendors and contractors for facility projects, expansions, and upgrades, ensuring delivery quality, timeliness, and alignment with business objectives.
- Drive solution evolution by researching and recommending new data center technologies and sustainable practices that align with organizational goals.
- Develop and implement automation strategies to optimize monitoring, maintenance workflows, and operational effectiveness.
- Participate actively in risk management and compliance activities, conducting infrastructure risk assessments and preparing for audits and certifications.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Infrastructure Operations, Security, and Cloud teams to ensure data center facilities support broader IT and hybrid cloud strategies.
- Synchronizing liaison work to meet implementation datelines of various initiatives.
- Strong technical skills and quick understanding of the business requirements.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate findings in easy to understand terms for the business and team members

- Technical Aptitude: Ability to learn and apply technical skills in data center environments.
- Problem Solving: Basic troubleshooting skills and the ability to follow procedures for resolving issues.

- Reliability: Dependable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Recognised Degree holder; preferably in Electrical / Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- Degree holder with at least 1 year of relevant working experience
- Familiar with environmental monitoring (temperature, humidity, airflow, leak detection).
- Basic understanding of critical systems (UPS, generator, cooling, fire suppression, access control).
- Knowledge of ITIL principles or exposure to structured operations.
- Willing to work extended hours or on weekends if required.
- Strong safety awareness when handling electrical, mechanical, and facilities systems.
- Exposure to data center migration, expansion, or build-out projects (preferred).
- Knowledgeable and very comfortable experience in:
- Managing highly available IT infrastructure in a 24/7/365 environment.
- Understanding of critical facilities infrastructure (mechanical, electrical, fire supression, security etc.).
- Disaster Recovery and business continuity management
