Public Relation Assist the Public Relations team and support the PR media & Internal Comms team with Public Relations (PR) activities. Work closely with project teams and other internal/external stakeholders in developing PR media plans Assist with the planning and coordinating PR efforts including (but not limited to) speech creation, talking points / FAQ creation, development of Press Release /statements/quotes, media relations, preparing PowerPoint presentation slides, creative scripting and captioning on videos, event and social media. Preparation and timely implementation & management of PR campaign plans Monitor and measure the effectiveness of PR campaigns and initiatives, making adjustments as needed to optimize results and achieve desired outcomes Update and maintain the PR department's documentation Collaborate with other departments such as Marketing, Event, Government & Stakeholder Relations and others to ensure that PR efforts are aligned with overall corporate strategy Perform additional due diligence, special assignment, ad-hoc functions and related duties as and when necessary Assist in developing different content types, including press releases, editorial pieces, email, blogs and articles related to the Digital Economy. Assist in the liaison with Governmental Ministries and agencies to develop and deliver written materials, speeches, reports and similar. Oversee the administrative activities and operations of Media & Internal Comms Department including all matters related to Procurement and Finance. Work together with different departments to create innovative content ideas. Follow an editorial calendar, collaborating with other members of the content production team to ensure timely delivery of materials. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree holder in Communication, Business, Public Relations, Media Studies or related field Minimum 5 years' experience in Public Relations or similar field Proven record of excellent writing demonstrated in a professional portfolio An impeccable grasp of the Bahasa Malaysia (BM) and English, including idioms and current trends in slang and expressions Proficiency with computers, especially writing programs, such as Google Docs and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Ability to work independently with little or no daily supervision Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to communicate with clients, colleagues, and management Ability to work on multiple projects with different objectives simultaneously Strict adherence to the style guides of each company and their policies for publication Good time management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, and adapting as necessary Competencies Experience in putting together content for government leaders, C-Level executives and its stakeholders Experience in dealing with the media and assisting in managing effective PR initiatives Excellent communication and writing skills Ability to build strong relationships with teams in MDEC, its partners, the government and Malaysians as a whole.
