Job scope:
This is a permanent position where you will be reporting to Senior Accounts Executive within the accounting team.
As Accounts Assistant, you will be involved in the daily operations and activities of the Accounting Department, which will include processing of invoices,Purchase orders,Delivery orders and monthly payments.
Job Responsibilities:
·Check daily transactions,cash flow and bank statements.
·Process premium refunds and update non-motor warranty records.
·Handle unclaimed monies and reinsurance of expired cheques.
·Prepare month-end journal entries and assist in monthly closing.
·Carry out bank and/other reconciliations as and when required.
·Assist with administrative tasks and finance-related matters.
·Provide backup for daily/monthly cash flow preparation and bank-in procedures.
Job Requirements:
·Candidate must possess minimum SPM or LCCI Diploma in Accounting.
·Knowledge of Accounting and Finance principles.
·Similar experience in accounting role within insurance business would be preferred.
·Fresh graduate or 1-2 years of work experience in managing Accounting or book-keeping functions.
·Experience working within the insurance/financial services industry will be ideal/advantageous.
·Proficient with ability to communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia and advantageous if also Mandarin.
·Familiar and proficient in Accounting system and MS Word and Excel.
