Job description: Job Summary Safety and Health Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment at construction sites by enforcing safety regulations, conducting inspections and implementing health and safety programs. Key Responsibilities Monitor the contractor's safety and health management, ensure contractor adhere with legal and TC SHE requirement. Conduct routine site inspection to identify hazards and enforce corrective actions. Advise TC to facilitating internal and external audits as required. Supervise, guide and coordinate the activities of Site Safety Supervisor. Collaborate with PMD team and contractor to perform HIAROC Review contractor's HIAROC & JSA according to method statement. Involve in contractor's incident management Review contractor report and provide accurate records of HSE data, incident and compliance (NOI, NOP etc). Assisting in developing and delivering HSE training program to TC and contractor if required. Member of HSE campaign to promote safety culture among employees through regular communication and awareness programs. Assist to liaise with external authorities such as CIDB, DOSH and local authority. Act as the TC primary point of contract during safety inspection and audit conducted by authorities. Coordination with Environmental team to assist in environmental compliance on-site Interface and coordinate among contractors in site safety compliance. Qualifications Must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field (preferred). Skills & Abilities Must be certified as SHO by DOSH with valid Green Book. Experience in construction environment, knowledge in ISO45001 Proficiency in Microsoft Office application Good writing and verbal communication skills in both Bahasa and English. Can work independently and enforce compliance of regulatory requirement Applicant should be willing to be based in Penang.
