We build localized tools for merchant outreach and promotion. Simultaneously, we create engaging promo and ad experiences for consumers across these services in the region, using local insights to enhance user experience and platform engagement.We are a cross-functional group leveraging data and cultural understanding of South East Asia's on-demand service ecosystem. We innovate localized marketing solutions to fuel growth and satisfaction for merchants and consumers across all our service verticals in the region.Get to Know the RoleAs a Product Designer, you'll collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Analysts, and business stakeholders to craft user experiences that balance innovation, feasibility, and impact. You'll draw on user insights, data, and market research to inform design decisions, while staying ahead of UX/UI trends and competitor strategies. Hands-on involvement in user research and testing across Southeast Asia will deepen your understanding of our users and ensure designs are validated and refined to deliver meaningful results.You will report to Designer Manager and work full-time onsite at the Grab Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia office.The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

You will distill broad, conceptual ideas into practical and engaging interfaces.
You will actively involve yourself in defining product strategy.
You will identify high-impact opportunities, and design features in pursuit of goals, and explain the rationale for your decisions.
You will advocate for our diverse user base with hard data and in-depth research to help meet their unique needs.
You will plan, prioritize coordinate, and conduct behavioral analysis, user requirements analysis, task analysis, conceptual modeling, and usability testing.
You will create flows, sketches, prototypes, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups to communicate concepts, solicit feedback, and drive an aligned approach among your team and stakeholders.
You will ensure consistency across all of our products & integrations by adhering to our design system standards and making updates when necessary. Work with engineering, product management, data, marketing, etc. to eliminate inconsistencies.

QualificationsWhat Essential Skills You Will Need

Minimum 6+ years as a product designer
Portfolio showcasing on-demand service industry experience; online ordering and discovery, and online to offline service design experience
Experience with web/mobile UX design and design systems.
Working knowledge of mobile/web front-end development to understand constraints and opportunities.
Experience creating prototypes and experience conducting guerilla testing, concept testing, and low-fidelity user tests to validate hypothesis and fact check assumptions
Proficiency with design tools, e.g., Figma/Figjam, ProtoPie, AfterEffects or similar animation tools.
Experience presenting design concepts to stakeholders.
Experience in service design, user research, and translating findings into product features/improvements.
The ability to leverage AI technology to boost productivity and elevate product experiences.
