The AV Technician in a hotel setting is responsible for delivering high-quality audio-visual support for conferences, meetings, banquets, and special events. This role ensures that guests, event organizers, and corporate clients experience seamless presentations, sound, and visual effects that enhance the hotels reputation for excellence in hospitality and event management. Event Setup & Operation Prepare, install, and operate AV equipment (projectors, microphones, speakers, video conferencing systems, lighting). Conduct pre-event checks to ensure all systems are functioning properly. Support live events, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions. Guest & Client Support Work closely with event planners, banquet managers, and guests to understand AV requirements. Provide professional, courteous assistance to presenters and performer Offer technical guidance to clients unfamiliar with AV systems. Maintenance & Troubleshooting Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on AV equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly during events. Maintain inventory of AV equipment and recommend upgrades or replacements. Collaboration Coordinate with banquet, conference, and IT teams to deliver integrated event solutions.
