About the Role My client is looking for an Assistant Production Manager to join their new manufacturing plant in Malaysia. Key Responsibilities Production Oversight: Lead and manage daily operations of the assembly line, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines are met. Team Leadership: Supervise and develop a team of technicians and line leaders, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. Process Optimization: Drive efficiency through lean manufacturing principles, process improvements, and automation integration. Technical Expertise: Provide hands-on support and troubleshooting in machine assembly, particularly in automation or electronics product manufacturing. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless production flow and issue resolution. Training & Development: Mentor and train production staff to build technical capabilities and leadership potential. Reporting & Analysis: Monitor KPIs, prepare production reports, and recommend strategic actions to improve performance. Requirements Experience: Minimum 5 years in a production or assembly management role, preferably in automation or electronics manufacturing. Technical Skills: Strong background in machine assembly and production line setup. Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively, with a focus on people development. Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with cross-functional teams and senior leadership. Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a hands-on approach.
