Interested in a career that matters?Join us as Industry Technology Specialist!Are you passionate about technical applications for baking fields, and interested in working for one of the world’s most sustainable Biosolutions companies?We are looking for an Industry Technology Specialist to join our SEA Food & Beverage Technical Service team responsible for baking fields. This Technical role will act as a trusted technical advisor, applying baking science and technology to solve technical challenges, support product launches, and translating scientific advancements into practical, customer‑ready applications.In this role you’ll make an impact by:
  • Driving customer value through deep application insight, structured problem solving, and the translation of scientific and technical advancements into practical, value-adding solutions for industrial bakeries and partners.
  • Planning, executing, and supervising experimental and laboratory work to ensure customer and project objectives are met. This includes overseeing laboratory trials, managing external testing activities, and ensuring alignment with project goals and customer requirements.
  • Contributes directly to customer satisfaction, innovation pipelines, and the successful commercialization of new technologies and applications.
  • Initiating and coordinating technical activities carried out by Novonesis, customers, or external partners, participating in customer meetings, supporting sales opportunities, and providing technical input for application development and product launches.
  • Provide deep application insight and actively drive customer value creation, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of baking science and industry trends and transforming this knowledge into practical customer solutions.
  • Generating innovative ideas, contributing to intellectual property such as scientific papers and patents, and identifying and solving complex technical challenges faced by customers.
To succeed you must hold:
  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in food science, baking technology, biotechnology, or a related discipline. A bachelor’s degree combined with significant relevant experience may also be considered.
  • Min. 5 years’ work experience in technical-related positions in baking fields.
  • Strong application knowledge in bakery formulations, processes, or ingredients
  • Experience translating scientific knowledge into practical customer solutions
  • Method development, laboratory trials, or experimental work in food or biotech environments
  • Strong proficiency in English (oral & written).
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills to provide professional technical support.
