- Lead and mentor the AP team in managing day-to-day accounting and financial operations, ensuring alignment with RBC policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
- Drive team performance through coaching, training, and development of junior members, fostering a culture of accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement
- Review and approve expense claims for compliance with RBC policies, including eligibility, receipt validation, and approval workflows, ensuring adherence to Delegation of Authorities and tax regulations.
- Verify invoices against purchase orders and RBC policies, resolving discrepancies and ensuring payment accuracy.
- Maintain robust internal controls by documenting, refreshing, and optimizing AP processes, and actively contributing to process improvement initiatives, system upgrades, and audit preparations.
- Execute timely vendor payments and expense reimbursements, ensuring alignment with tax and reporting obligations.
- Perform regular reconciliations of AP systems, investigating and resolving unreconciled items to maintain financial integrity.
- Champion process improvements and control enhancements, ensuring the AP function operates efficiently and in compliance with evolving regulatory and business needs.
- Partner with stakeholders in providing an efficient and controlled Accounts Payable service.
