This is a pivotal leadership role where you will influence safety culture, strengthen HSSE systems, and support the delivery of world-class energy projects.Based in Kuala Lumpur, you will provide strategic HSSE leadership across projects, develop high-performing teams, and ensure compliance with client, regulatory, and Wood HSSE standards.What we can offer

Responsibilities:This position plays a critical role in embedding a strong safety culture, ensuring HSSE excellence through effective governance, leadership, and regulatory compliance.You will:
  • Develop and deliver the Project HSSE Plan aligned with Company, Client, and project strategic objectives
  • Manage all HSSE interface requirements, ensuring alignment with existing and future interface documents and effective communication to all project stakeholders
  • Lead HSSE project start-up activities, including safe workforce mobilisation, emerging risk assessments, and implementation of mitigation action plans
  • Establish and manage construction subcontractor HSSE processes, ensuring consistent compliance and performance
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits, incident investigations, and associated reporting requirements
  • Ensure effective emergency response arrangements are in place and aligned with Client and project requirements
  • Monitor, report, and continuously improve HSSE performance through workforce engagement, lessons learned, and corporate reporting

What makes you remarkable?
Bachelor's degree in Health, Safety & Environment or a related discipline
  • Proven HSSE experience delivering LNG and Oil & Gas project environments
  • Certified and registered Safety & Health Officer (SHO) with DOSH (Malaysia)
  • DOE-recognised certification (CePSWaM, CESSWI, or CepuSE)
  • Strong working knowledge of Malaysian HSE legislation, with accountability for statutory compliance
  • Experience participating in HAZID, HAZOP, and safety review processes preferred
  • Confident and influential leader with strong organisational, interpersonal, and presentation skills; fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia
