Assist in managing and supervising all maintenance operations including preventive maintenance, repair, and emergency response.
Support the planning and execution of maintenance schedules for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other critical systems.
Monitor equipment performance and initiate necessary repairs or replacements.
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Collaborate with Housekeeping, Front Office, and other departments to address maintenance-related issues promptly.
Lead, train, and motivate a team of technicians to ensure high standards of work and productivity.
Manage inventory of tools, parts, and materials and coordinate with procurement when necessary.
Ensure timely documentation and reporting of maintenance activities, incidents, and equipment status.
Support sustainability and energy-saving initiatives across the property.
Assist in preparing budgets, maintenance reports, and capital improvement plans.
Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organization in all back-of-house engineering areas.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering or related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in hotel engineering/maintenance operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or assistant managerial role.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, MEP systems, building automation, fire safety, and preventive maintenance.
Ability to manage technical teams and multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
Familiar with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Willing to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
