Our complementary business segments, Technology, Products and Services (TPS) and Project Delivery, turn innovation into scalable and industrial reality.Through collaboration and excellence in execution, our 17,000+ employees across 34 countries are fully committed to bridging prosperity with sustainability for a world designed to last.About the mission we offer you:The System Engineer, Smart Instrumentation is responsible for the overall administration of Instrument engineering and design database using dedicated modules of Hexagon Smart Instrumentation software, as well as ensuring that Information Management requirements are adhered to and provides technical support to relevant project stakeholder.Main ChallengesThis system engineer role requires proven technical knowledge to execute/deploy the Smart Instrumentation (SI). The role includes administration of the software operation which include but not limited to software customization capability, integrating with related software tools and leadership/management skills for managing the team in various geographical locations. Capability to adapt to diverse cultural work environment.Main AccountabilitiesDepartment:
  • Act as a role model for the Project team member(s) for ESG and T.EN values and contribute to T.EN's purpose of breaking boundaries to engineer a sustainable future.
  • Participate in QHSES program, ensuring health and safety of personnel.
  • Ensuring compliance to GBPMS, BCMS, ICMS, DWP, GWPs and other related quality control procedures for Project Execution Systems perimeter.
  • Ensure internal and external customer satisfaction of PES perimeter (Contractual requirements fulfilment, documents/databases delivered on time, etc.)
Project Execution Support:
  • Initialize blank/SEED database and define project domain according to project requirements.
  • Manages project access rights definition to the software tools.
  • Creates Plant Area Unit structure as per the project plant breakdown structure.
  • Manages backup and restore activity of project database.
  • Implements project data dictionary that is interfacing with other software tools.
  • Validates and creates standard data import links including mapping of templates.
  • Maintains project template for deliverable outputted from the software tools.
  • Updates discipline users on new functionalities of new versions.
  • Maintain and troubleshoots software related issues.
  • Produce project setup procedures.
  • Develop coordination procedure for authoring tool.
  • Coordinates with clients and project team for the configuration, setup and other related data to be used
  • in the software.
  • Conduct in-house software tool training.
  • Prepares project database for handover.
Continuous Improvement and Expertise:
  • Support the implementation of Project Execution Systems work processes, methodology and tools, ensuring standardized deployment of its software and activities.
  • Gathers feedback or lessons learnt from Project team for continuous improvement.
  • Support lean execution of projects by contributing ideas for continuous improvement.
About you:
  • Degree in Electrical/Instrument engineering or Information Management.
  • 10 years of administration working experience in Smart Instrumentation.
  • Proven experience in managing FEED and EPC stage project of brownfield and greenfield projects.
  • In-depth understanding of Instrument engineering workflows including inter-discipline information exchanges.
  • Excellent ability to work effectively in diverse working environment such as operating centers of various geographical location and culture.
  • Knowledge with interface application as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Infomaker, SQL software.
  • Knowledge in SQL and VBA Programing Language.
