We are seeking a Japanese-speaking Indirect Procurement Specialist (Japanese Speaker) to join our procurement team on a 1-year contract. This position focuses on tactical sourcing activities, managing spot buy requests, and supporting procurement operations across the APAC region. Description Execute tactical sourcing activities including spot buys, quotation requests, market research, and price comparisons Follow sourcing instructions and category strategies for all spot buy processes Maintain sourcing data for spot buy materials, including site-specific information Create purchase orders for indirect materials and services Provide language-specific support (Japanese) for sourcing tasks and market analysis Assist in investigating root causes for invoice non-conformities Collaborate with senior specialists and team leads on various procurement matters Build and maintain effective working relationships with regional users and internal sourcing teams Communicate with stakeholders via phone and email Ensure compliance with procurement procedures and service level expectations Analyse suppliers in the region, support negotiations, and highlight improvement opportunities Manage smaller-scale contracts and agreements for regular services Support documentation and standardization of procurement processes Profile Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field Business fluency in Japanese (min JLPT N2) and English (spoken, written, and reading) Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a multicultural procurement shared services environment Familiarity with sourcing platforms and e-auction tools (e.g., SAP / SRM) Strong communication, analytical, and coordination skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting Open to a 1-year contract position (with option to convert based on performance) Job Offer Hybrid working arrangement Opportunities for professional development and continuous learning Collaborative and supportive team environment Exposure to regional procurement activities and cross-cultural interactions Conversion to permanent Salary range: RM 60K - RM 120K per annum Medical benefits covered Page Group Malaysia is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
