Support and provide engineering expertise for electrical scope of work including conceptual and basic design until detailed engineering. To support engineering design team to ensure overall project will achieve CAPEX and OPEX optimization as well to ensure electrical system equipment to be designed, procured, installed, tested, commissioned and operate as per oil and gas rule and regulation, client standard, comply safety requirement and meeting operational application. Job scope: Prepare electrical engineering deliverables (specifications, data sheets, single line diagrams, drawings, philosophies, reports, load list, basis of design) to meet project submission requirement. Prepare engineering design to meet client technical requirements, international standards (IEC, IEEE, IALA, CAP437), Classification society rules (ABS, DNV) and operation need. Review detailed engineering works done by 3rd party engineering consultant and shipyard meets project requirements. Able to discuss and close engineering comments from Client and Classification society representative. Lead and guide a group of electrical engineers and designers (5 - 12 team members) to perform electrical engineering work from concept selection, pre-FEED / FEED, basic engineering up to detailed design (completion). Able to total up required manhours and plan deliverable schedule for assigned engineering work. Evaluate technical proposal from vendor and able to advise commercial department to come out with comprehensive project budgetary proposal. Prepare / review TCs and participate in bidder clarification meetings and TBEs for topside and marine packages and ensure all technical points and bidder deviations are discussed and agreed prior to the award. Participate in TQ discussions with package vendors to resolve technical point deviations / clarifications raised by package vendors. Review and comment vendor documents for electrical, mechanical and marine packages and ensure vendor data incorporated in base design. Meet project optimization cost by designing electrical system within CAPEX and OPEX project expenditure. Provide necessary technical input to other engineering team to ensure all engineering disciplines have good understanding on electrical requirement and to support their design to provide good overall design. Provide comments to other discipline documents and ensure consistency to meet electrical requirements. Familiar with ETAP software and able to perform power system studies (e.g, load flow, short circuit, motor starting) during FEED phase. Communicate with FPSO operation team and provide engineering input and technical advice to resolve technical issues or support new modifications as part of MOC framework. Able to work effectively with representatives from Client, Shipyard, PMT, construction, commissioning and operation team, Classification society and numerous package vendors. Qualification and Experience: Degree in Electrical Engineering. Registered with Board of Engineer Malaysia. 15 years of experience in oil and gas industry. Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of electrical codes and international standards (IEC 61892, IEC 60079, ABS MOU Part 4 Machinery and Systems). Able to work independently and with team. Able to operate electrical design software ETAP. Computer Literacy (Words, Excel, PowerPoint).
