The Country Managing Director (CMD) of True Money Malaysia is responsible for leading the overall business strategy, operations, and market growth of the company. This role requires strong leadership, business acumen, and industry expertise to drive the expansion of True Money's e-wallet and fintech services in Malaysia. The CMD will oversee key functions, including business development, regulatory compliance, financial management, and operational efficiency, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and local market dynamics. Business Strategy & Market Expansion Develop and execute a strategic plan to establish and grow True Money Malaysia's market presence. Identify and capitalize on business opportunities, including partnerships, merchant acquisitions, and new revenue streams. Lead go-to-market strategies for any new and existing projects capitalizing and growing the company as per group directions. Drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies to expand the user base. Leadership Operations Management Provide leadership and direction to all business functions, including marketing, finance, compliance, risk management, and customer service. Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team to support business growth. Ensure efficient day-to-day operations and optimize internal processes for scalability. Oversee risk and fraud management efforts to maintain a secure and compliant e-wallet ecosystem. Regulatory Compliance & Governance Ensure full compliance with local financial regulations, Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) guidelines, and other industry requirements. Work closely with legal and compliance teams to manage regulatory risks and reporting. Engage with government agencies, regulators, and industry bodies to represent True Money Malaysia. Financial & Performance Management Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and profitability targets for the Malaysian operations. Ensure financial sustainability and cost efficiency while maintaining growth objectives. Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvements in business performance. Formulate business strategy aligning to revenue growth, profitability and also market expansion plan Stakeholder & Partner Management Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, merchants, financial institutions, and investors. Negotiate and secure strategic partnerships to enhance product offerings and market positioning. Represent True Money Malaysia at industry events, forums, and networking opportunities. Negotiate beneficial commercial planning for the business to grow opportunity for the company and group. Key Requirements: Proven experience in a leadership role within the fintech, e-wallet, banking, or digital payments industry. Strong understanding of the Malaysian fintech landscape, including regulatory frameworks and market trends. Demonstrated ability to drive business growth, partnerships, and operational excellence. Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capabilities.
