For a sneak peek into life at allnex site, don’t miss our manufacturing !Position overviewallnex is seeking an experienced APAC Compliance Manager, to be based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. This position will report to the General Counsel APAC, with a dotted reporting line to the Head of Compliance. The position will be a member of the allnex global Legal Services team.The APAC Compliance Manager will be responsible for managing the regional compliance function. The role includes regional contributions to the global allnex compliance program and governance, related communication, training and guidance as well as cross investigations into reported compliance cases and cross-functional alignment on enforcement measures. Additional legal tasks in the area of contracts drafting/review and corporate law may be required.Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee control systems to prevent violations of legal guidelines and internal policies.
- Follow up on whistleblower complaints, including conducting internal investigations.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors, addressing issues raised in audit reports.
- Implement effective action plans in response to audit findings and compliance violations.
- Foster a strong compliance culture within the region, with a particular focus on China.
- Educate and train employees on allnex’s compliance program, relevant regulations, and best practices.
- Address employee concerns or questions related to legal and compliance matters.
- Draft/review business contracts and assist the General Counsel with other legal matters as required.
- Actively contribute to maintaining the legal matter management database.
- Minimum 8 years in a legal and compliance role, preferably in an in-house or corporate setting.
- Strong understanding of APAC compliance frameworks, including whistleblower investigations and auditing.
- Expertise in data protection laws and practices is a plus.
- Expertise in commercial contract drafting and corporate law.
- Familiarity with the chemical industry is a plus.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin, to support operations in China
- Proven track record in managing investigations and collaborating with auditors.
- Willingness to travel within the Asia Pacific region.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage)
