We are looking for an exceptional Sales Manager who's is visionary with a knack for driving growth and innovation, collaborative, and is able to excel in sales management and business development.The ChallengesPlanning:
- Develop and propose short- and mid-term plans for the PPS business in SEA.
- Conduct weekly, quarterly, and annual sales and margin forecasts.
- Support accurate sales forecasting and stock planning.
- Set strategic objectives and KPIs for the sales team.
- Plan a pipeline of new opportunities based on historic win rates.
- Create and execute business strategies for market segments.
- Identify and pursue business opportunities with the sales team.
- Collaborate with regional teams and HQ to close projects and identify new opportunities.
- Support new product launches and sustainable packaging initiatives.
- Build a network of external decision-makers in SEA.
- Lead the SEA PPS sales team to maximize sales across various customer segments.
- Diversify customer base and sales channels.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Monitor KPIs to ensure sales and financial objectives are met.
- Align sales team efforts to ensure a robust project pipeline and timely closures.
- Ensure CRM systems are fully utilized and data is accurate.
- Develop and implement pricing strategies.
- Engage with Key Accounts and guide account owners.
- Manage sales forecasts to balance supply, logistics costs, and stock levels.
- Identify value chains and develop optimal sales channels.
- Utilize digital sales tools for lead generation and customer insights.
- Ensure timely collection of receivables and coordinate payment terms.
- Report on performance issues and market trends.
- Provide regular updates on business activities.
- Ensure accurate CRM data entry and monitor progress.
- Compile and present monthly management reports.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to the sales team.
- Review and adjust organizational setup based on market dynamics.
- Identify and address knowledge gaps with training and development.
- Maintain team engagement and open communication.
- Support talent development for key positions.
- Collaborate with regional marketing and management teams.
- Minimum bachelors degree majoring in Sales/Marketing/Business Management or equivalent professional qualification
- Further degree in technical or market segment related field is a plus
- Minimum of 8 years of sales experience in Printing and/or Packaging industry, including 2-3 years of leadership (direct/indirect) and regional experience
- Background in flexographic printing industry (printers, ink manufacturers, plate manufacturers, tape manufacturers) is a significant plus
- Management reporting, working with Senior Management Levels
- Fluent in English (verbal and written), additional SEA language a plus (e.g. Bahasa)
- Strong background and knowledge of the Southeast Asia PPS market and industry trends.
- Engineering and/or Chemical background is a plus
- Relevant experience with MS Office suit and CRM systems
- Experience working in a matrix organization is a plus
