- To ensure smooth running of Factory Operations which cover production planning, production output, plant engineering set up and maintenance, plant investment,
- QMR for IMS implementation as well as company EH&S related matters.
- Champion a safety-first culture across the factory by enforcing corporate and local EHS policies.
- Proactively implement initiatives to comply with group EHS standards and drive continuous improvement in safety performance.
- Co-Lead with EHS team regular safety audits, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
- Ensure all employees are trained in and adhere to EHS protocols and emergency response procedures.
- Monitor EHS performance metrics; take corrective actions where necessary.
- Ensure the receiving, storage, and handling of raw materials and packaging materials are conducted per standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
- Oversee production operations to meet planning requirements in terms of quality, volume, and timeliness.
- Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, equipment, and materials.
- Develop SOPs for every activities.
- Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure operational effectiveness and efficiency.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing to optimize productivity and reduce waste.
- Ensure factory assets and equipment are maintained and operated at optimal performance levels with minimal downtime.
- Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs, with support of national maintenance manager.
- Plan and implement capital investment projects in line with business growth and strategic objectives.
- Ensure full implementation and ongoing improvement of IMS procedures (ISO, etc.).
- Support audits and certifications through preparation and compliance enforcement.
- Any other tasks assigned from time to time.
- Maintain Sika information with appropriate secrecy and adhere to policies regarding confidential information
- Maintain confidentiality of formulation at all times.
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering discipline preferred. (Civil, Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical)
- Minimum 8 years Factory operation experience gained from MNC / large corporation. Preferably in chemical / batch process experience.
- Supervision of equipment installation and engineering facilities.
- Excellent computer skills including PowerPoint presentation and Excel spreadsheet applications;
- Strong organisational, communication, inter-personal, leadership and management skills;
- Able to work independently and in a team environment;
- Fluent in spoken and written English, Bahasa Malaysia and / or Mandarin , Tamil would be advantageous
