Executive Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia is partnering with a multinational technology consulting and software development firm that provides digitization, technology innovation consulting, and custom software development services.This role involves independently managing the full finance and accounting function during a period of growth, ensuring financial discipline, reporting accuracy, compliance, and operational controls. The Finance Manager will handle day-to-day finance operations, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, taxation, and statutory compliance, while progressively building and leading the finance function as the company expands.Responsibilities:

Independent Financial Operations: Manage full accounts independently, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closing; handle AP/AR, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
Financial Reporting: Prepare management accounts, P&L, balance sheets, cash flow reports, and MFRS-compliant financial statements; provide timely reports for decision-making.
Budgeting & Planning: Support annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, variance analysis, and financial planning for business growth.
Taxation & Compliance: Ensure compliance with Malaysian tax requirements, liaise with auditors and authorities, and prepare statutory reporting.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, manage payments and collections, and maintain healthy working capital.
Internal Controls & Processes: Establish and improve finance processes, internal controls, and documentation.
Finance Function Development: Build finance SOPs, reporting frameworks, and gradually develop and lead the finance team.

Requirements:

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent preferred.
6-8 years' hands-on finance experience, ideally in an SME environment.
Strong knowledge of MFRS, Malaysian taxation, and full finance operations.
Proficient in accounting software (Xero, AutoCount) and advanced Excel skills.
Detail-oriented, independent, with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
